My Name is Red

I found Orhan Pamuk’s way of writing quite unique. The story, the characters, the history layered beautifully. I loved his style of putting the characters in a first-person conversational tone. Although I had longed to read Istanbul: Memories and the City, I finally picked this book. This is the first time I have ever read his work and it was worth every second while I invested reading the 666-page book.
