Look at the old, dilapidated building. Isn’t she a beauty?
Weathered by years, worn by time.
Sometimes remembered in stories—told by passersby and elders who saw her in all her glory—but now, she stands mostly forgotten.
If not for the Phulkari dupattas I had planned to buy, I might never have stumbled upon this rundown movie theatre located in the heart of Hall Bazaar.
Amrit Talkies was once a go-to spot for cinema lovers, but with the arrival of multiplexes, it has slowly faded from the spotlight.
Yet, it continues to serve a dedicated section of the rural audience, for whom this movie hall remains a cherished source of entertainment.
From my perspective, Amrit Talkies stood out as a symbolic structure—a remnant of the celluloid days of yesteryears.
