Andaz Delhi: A perfect getaway

Lately, we have come to enjoy the eclectic charm of good boutique hotels. Every so often, my husband and I indulge in a luxury staycation, even for a day, simply to unwind and pamper ourselves.

Just a bit of change of environment, free from mundane distractions like work meetings, phone calls, screen time, and social media, can be incredibly healing for the mind, body and soul. It is a way to ground ourselves and reconnect with our inner self.

And, time to time, both of us love to tune in to that experience and enjoy these moments of escape, sometimes through travel, through creative pursuits like reading, writing and art, and some days through short rejuvenating breaks.

Our recent stay at Andaz Delhi was one such refreshing experience. It was our wedding anniversary and we were looking for a getaway to celebrate the day. Wonderfully, this place turned out to be a perfect staycation for the occasion, just the way we wanted.

The hospitality, scrumptious food, fantastic customer service, and equally wonderful staff made our time there worthwhile. Besides the comfort and coziness of the hotel, I particularly liked the way the entire space was designed.

The paintings on the wall, the bookshelf, the furniture pieces, and the arrangement of artful installations seemed like they were mindfully curated for a seamless interaction. I sensed a beautiful synergy between people and these carefully chosen objects of art.

Talking about their food, we thoroughly enjoyed the dinner buffet at their restaurant AnnaMaya, and the breakfast buffet was equally fulfilling. The Mysore masala dosa was made to absolute perfection. While we savored our delicious meals, my husband particularly loved the runaway view from our room. Throughout the day, we watched flights taking off to new destinations.
If things couldn’t get any better, they sent a delightful chocolate cake to make our day. It was a sweet surprise and a thoughtful gesture!

While this place is a great option for people coming to the city or taking their next flight because of its proximity to the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

For us, this staycation turned out to be a perfect leisure trip, and we would love to come back, once more.

Here I am already planning for our next weekend buffet at AnnaMaya.
