Kainchi Dham has always evoked a deep, reverent feeling in us. Tucked away from the city and nestled in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, this was the abode of Maharaj Ji, fondly called Neem Karoli Baba.
Certainly, it must a connection from our past lives, like a sacred tie with the land and its people. In one way or another, on multiple occasions, we have had the privilege to visit and experience the peace and quietude of this divine space.
Stepping onto a land where many great masters have walked and passed on their knowledge and wisdom, this is a place we call our own, this is a place we feel we belong to.
In our busy, chaotic, tumultuous lives, how fortunate it is find a place where we can centre ourselves and contemplate on our higher purpose.
Sometimes, all you need to do is to make a getaway, and sometimes simply sit still with yourself, take a deep breath, go inwards and enjoy own company.
A little dose of spirituality has never harmed anyone. And trust me, this journey is a blissful one, in and out.
